About this tour | From 26 April to the Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction in November, take part in the Imaginaires Kréatifs / Visions hospitalières - Visions minérales adventure, ‘when street art meets heritage’; a unique artistic project where living heritage and contemporary creation intersect. Under the direction of MODE 2 and in collaboration with the La Karrière association, street artists invite you to discover the Hôtel-Dieu, a centuries-old heritage site, in a new way.  Come and wander through the playful, poetic and graphic worlds of JACE, ANDREA and DELTA, who offer a fresh perspective on the site while highlighting its founding principles and hospitable values. A unique artistic adventure jointly created by the Hôtel-Dieu des Hospices Civils de Beaune and the La Karrière association to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Climats' inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

About this tour | Discover the Hôtel-Dieu des Hospices Civils de Beaune, a hospital founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, Chancellor of the Dukes of Burgundy, and his wife Guigone de Salins. A charitable institution entrusted to the care of the hospital sisters, this “palace for the poor” dedicated to the wandering and destitute sick remained in operation until 1971. Renowned for its polychrome, glazed terracotta roofs, the Hôtel-Dieu is also an important reminder of hospital history, with its Last Judgement polyptych by Rogier van der Weyden, its treatment rooms, kitchen, apothecary and collections of furniture and works of art.

About | Please note that this tasting will be held mainly in French. The Hospices de Beaune estate and its winegrowers invite you to discover some of their vintages at a public tasting, opened only during the Wine Auction week-end. A bottle tasting organised in the estate's old cellars, behind the Hôtel-Dieu des Hospices Civils de Beaune, to understand the estate, its history, its vintages, and its appellations.
